ABOUT US ::
The proprietors of The Davenport House Bed & Breakfast are Jeanne & Michael Christie, long term residents of West Virginia. Jeanne has a background in Hospitality having worked for 15 years in the hotel industry, most recently at The Greenbrier Hotel as Director of Operations. Michael is a professional artist who shows in New York, Nantucket and at The Greenbrier Hotel.
They decided to focus on quality time with their family and return to Michaels origins of farming and open the Bed & Breakfast cottages while growing a small family farm and continuing the career in the arts.
The Davenport House is a family friendly environment with large lawn areas for play, expanding gardens and the beginnings of a a Scottish sheep herd. Soon, they hope to have chickens and a small fish pond.
Come play with your kids on the lawns, go shopping in historic downtown Lewisburg or in the summer go kayaking, fly fishing or to the PGA Golf Classic at The Greenbrier in July or the West Virginia State Fair in August. We can help you book private fishing lessons at The Greenbrier & shooting lessons!
